Where to become more active
There are a number of ways that you can become more active before, during and after cancer treatment. It’s important to do something you enjoy and that fits in with your life. There are lots of different activities available to you in your area – from running and cycling, to yoga and Tai Chi.
There are many activities you can incorporate into your routine at home, which all contribute to your activity levels, such as vacuuming, mowing the lawn or climbing your stairs. You may also want to reduce the amount of time you spend sitting or lying down.
We’ve also produced an exercise DVD especially for people living with cancer, which you can use at home to help you to become more active.
We also have a video and more information about the benefits of being physically active.
