You might find it helpful to join a slimming club or speak to your doctor for more help with your weight management.
Slimming clubs can be a good way to meet other people and can provide you with encouragement to lose weight. The recommended weight loss programme should:
Your doctor, nurse or dietitian will be able to advise you if a slimming club is suitable for you.
If diet and exercise have not achieved weight loss, your doctor may recommend an NHS Obesity Clinic.
These clinics include healthcare professionals such as specialist doctors, nurses, dietitians, exercise specialists and clinical psychologists. These clinics may not be available at your local hospital so you may have to travel for this service.
