If you get into debt because of reduced income and higher outgoings due to cancer, seek help as soon as possible, and don't panic. This information will help you understand the basics of debt management, and provides tools to help you deal with your debts.

Follow these steps to manage your debt
Create a financial statement to help you to manage your debts
Find information about how to negotiate with your creditors
Get advice about what you could do to increase your income through state benefits, insurance and pensions
Identify your urgent debts and make a list of all your financial commitments.
