2011 was a particularly exciting year for the partnership as Silver Spoon was announced as the official sugar partner for Macmillan’s flagship event The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning| for the third year running. 

Silver Spoon are proud to be the only sugar grown in Britain and in 2011 managed to raise a fantastic £102,000 through:

• support and photography of Macmillan’s recipe book ‘The Little Book of Treats’
• head office fundraising
• ‘Local Hero Competition’
• generously donating 20p from every pack of Silver Spoon caster sugar sold throughout September.

For 2012 Silver Spoon will again be supporting The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and activity has already started with a bloggers competition, the winners of which will be featured in the Little Book of Treats, and look out for the Local Hero Competition in September.
