Silver Spoon has been an official partner of Macmillan since 2009 and in that time has raised over £300,000.
2011 was a particularly exciting year for the partnership as Silver Spoon was announced as the official sugar partner for Macmillan’s flagship event The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for the third year running.
Silver Spoon are proud to be the only sugar grown in Britain and in 2011 managed to raise a fantastic £102,000 through:
support and photography of Macmillan’s recipe book ‘The Little Book of Treats’
head office fundraising
‘Local Hero Competition’
generously donating 20p from every pack of Silver Spoon caster sugar sold throughout September.
Head of Marketing, Louise Vickers said: ‘We are delighted to be the official sugar partner of The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for 2012 and we are looking forward to getting involved with the team at Macmillan for another year.’
Head of High Value – Corporate, Charles Byrne said: ‘Macmillan Cancer Support would like to say a big thank you to Silver Spoon for their ongoing support. Their involvement with The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning has been truly fantastic and the money raised will make a real difference to people affected by cancer.’
For 2012 Silver Spoon will again be supporting The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and activity has already started with a bloggers competition, the winners of which will be featured in the Little Book of Treats, and look out for the Local Hero Competition in September.
