You can bet on Coral to support Macmillan.
We always want to find ways to reach new audiences and talk to them about cancer and Macmillan’s services and support. So when Coral bookmakers came on board as partners earlier this year, we were delighted.
Coral has literally opened their doors to us by providing cancer information in all of its 1,800 stores across the UK and to its employees. With an 85% male customer base that come from a lower socio-economic group, Coral has helped us to provide lung cancer and prostate cancer information, to some of the hardest to reach people in the UK who tend to not proactively seek help.
In addition, generous Coral staff have raised a whopping £600,000 with some brilliant fundraising activities. Cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats, running marathons, sitting in baths of beans, leg waxing, bungee jumping and trading trousers for skirts for a ‘Lads to Ladies’ day. In addition staff have volunteered and raised thousands of pounds collecting money at racecourses across the UK.

Coral have pledged to extend the partnership and continue supporting Macmillan until December 2013.
