Established women’s value fashion retailer, Bonmarché is a long-standing partner of Macmillan Cancer Support, supporting us for over 13 years.
Putting the fun into their fundraising, Bonmarché staff across the UK have dedicated themselves to raising a total of £2.5 million to help provide financial support for people affected by cancer.
Every penny from Bonmarché’s fundraising goes towards patient grants, helping over 7,000 people directly since the partnership began. Macmillan grants| provide much needed financial support for people living with cancer by helping people to pay their travel fare to hospital appointments, to pay their fuel bills or even to enable the purchase of essential household items such as washing machines.
To raise the money, staff have thrown themselves into wearing green and sporting wacky wigs for Macmillan’s Go Mad, Go Green day – Bonmarché’s annual fundraising event. Staff have also joined Macmillan’s flagship event, the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, by holding raffles and selling tasty treats.
Bonmarché’s Katherine Scott, Head of Marketing said: 'Our employees and customers are both passionate about raising money for Macmillan and helping to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. I am very proud of the amount they continue to raise every year, which has such a huge impact in our local communities.'
Bonmarché are committed to helping the Macmillan team reach even more people affected by cancer and will continue to support Macmillan again this year.
