Macmillan Cancer Support responds to the Government’s announcement of plans to publish statistics and data about public services.
Jenny Ritchie-Campbell, Director of Cancer Services Innovation, of Macmillan Cancer Support says:
'We welcome the Government’s announcement to open up data across public services. Cancer information is vital for cancer patients to be able to make informed decisions about their treatment and care options.
'To make life simpler at a difficult time, Macmillan has created an online guide reviewing bowel cancer services in England so patients can read local information to help them make decisions about where to have their treatment. We are already planning on making this available for other cancer types too. Visit www.macmillan.org.uk/choosingtreatment.'|
