Members of the Macmillan primary care community across the UK come together at least once a year at the annual Macmillan Primary Care Conference.
The conference provides the opportunity for members of the community to network, share innovations and learn about cancer in primary care across the UK. The event is hosted by the Macmillan GP Advisers Team, and is open to Macmillan GPs and primary care cancer leads, and to other primary care colleagues.
These conferences are held in addition to the learning and development events held for all Macmillan professionals.
This year’s conference took place at the Britannia Hotel, Canary Wharf on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 November.
The two day conference combined keynote sessions, interactive workshops and delegate showcases as well as an exhibition area.
As well as celebrating twenty years since the first Macmillan GP, there were updates on Macmillan’s priorities and projects for the future, and opportunities to collaborate and share best practice with each other. We also looked at how we integrate with Clinical Commissioning Groups now and in the future.
