Most cancers don't run in families. However, some cancers, especially breast, ovarian and colorectal (bowel) cancers, can be associated with inherited alterations in genes. Those who may be at risk need to be appropriately risk-assessed and managed.

OPERA (Online Personal Education and Risk Assessment)| is Macmillan’s online interactive tool that addresses people's risk of familial breast and/or ovarian cancer.
