Macmillan Cancer Support is working with the Department of Health and the Cancer Action Team on an exciting new project to explore how we can best support people who are living with the long term effects of cancer treatment.
We are planning to:
-
make direct payments to women who are living with severe and disabling long term effects of radiotherapy treatment for breast cancer in the 1980’s.

help these women to access specialist services, advice and information if they wish.
We’re looking for a part-time project worker to help us take this project forward. The post will initially be for 2.5 days a week (17.25 hours a week) for 6 months.
The postholder will be based in London at Macmillan’s UK Office.
You’ll need to be able to work sympathetically and effectively with a group of women who have had a poor cancer experience. You will be IT literate and have excellent communication, administration and project management skills.
This post will be considered on a secondment basis and although not necessary, applications would be welcomed from someone who has had a cancer experience.
