Salary: Circa 29,000 - 31,000 plus car/car allowance and benefits
If you have experience of event planning and organisation, excellent project management skills, a track record of managing a network of contacts, and ideally, line management and marketing experience, this is an ideal opportunity. An opportunity to optimise a market-leading events portfolio in the charity sector. Ideally, you’ll be located in York, but the location can be flexible within the East Midlands/North England region.
Join Macmillan Cancer Support and you’ll be part of one of the most progressive and intelligent specialists in this valued field. You’ll work closely with colleagues from across the organisation and within the fundraising team to maximise opportunities in terms of income, profile-raising and supporter engagement.
Your brief will be to manage the development of the events programme in community fundraising in the East Midlands and the North of England. In a nutshell, you’ll establish best practice delivery across all events – including everything from the Great North Run to the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. A portfolio that raises more than £3 million in this region every year.
On a personal level, we are also looking for relationship-building, time management and decision-making skills.
