Campaigning

We change things for the better. We work with people affected by cancer, governments and other organisations to raise awareness of the issues that really matter.

We influence the people who make decisions at both a regional and national level. Whether they focus on public awareness, involve working with politicians, or both, all our campaigns have one common goal – to make a positive and permanent change to the lives of people affected by cancer.

Influencing policy

We improve cancer care by proactively campaigning, but also by giving our opinions on consultation documents from Government and other bodies (for example, the National Council for Voluntary Organisations) and writing and responding to media stories, among other ways. Where appropriate we join together with other charities, so that we speak with a common voice to strengthen our influence.

We help create policy that's sensitive to the needs of people affected by cancer, then we play an active role in ensuring the Government and other bodies deliver what their policies promise.
